We supply and install complete turnkey solar thermal systems, including the following components:
Solar collectors: panel attached outside to collect heat energy from the sun. The heat travels to the heat exchanger in the solar tank through the “heat-transfer fluid” made of a water and glycol mixture.
Mounting system: exterior racking/attachment method for solar collectors.
- KBB On-Roof Mounting kit K420-DH-UN Basic set for one collector
- KBB On-Roof Mounting kit K420-DH-UN Extension set for one collector
Solar storage tanks: transfers heat energy into the water inside the tank via the heat exchanger. After releasing the heat, the heat-transfer fluid flows back to the collectors to be reheated.
Solar controllers: keeps the heat-transfer fluid circulating whenever heat is available in the collectors. Displays system info, regulates operation, shows errors and warning, etc.
Solar pump stations: designed to transport solar heat from the collector(s) to the tank(s). These stations come complete with valving, metering, safety devices, and circulator to provide proper circulation.
- Meibes Twin Line Solar Station UPS25 58U/180, 115V
- Meibes Solarstation Na Fuer 2 Speicher 2x UPS25-58U, 115V
- Meibes Twin Line Solar Station (WITHOUT PUMP)
- Grundfos cast-iron 3-speed pump for solar station, UPS25-58U/180, 115V (PUMP ONLY)
Solar piping and pump connections: used to transfer heat energy from collectors to the controller, to the tank, and back around to the collector. We carry several parts compatible with our solar thermal systems:
- Meibes Solarverbindungsrohr DN 20 X 20, Twsk M.Solariso Duo Co-Ectrusionsf. U. Kabel
- Meibes Kollektor-Anschluss-Set NA DN 20 Fixlock
- Meibes Inoflex Verbindungsset 1″AG/AG Fixlock Fuer Doppelstrang Wellrohr DN 20
- Meibes Flex-fix-rohr DN 16, 2 x 3/4″IG Edelstahlwellrohr 700
- and more…
Solar handpump: manual pumping device to refill glycol-mixture into the solar thermal system.
Pressurized expansion tank: used to protect closed water heating systems and domestic hot water systems from excessive pressure. The tank is partially filled with air, whose compressibility cushions shock caused by water hammer and absorbs excess water pressure caused by thermal expansion.
Other: Various additional components for solar thermal systems.
